For Immediate Release: Congressman Wesley Hunt is Honored with Legislator Award by the International Association of Drilling Contractors
Washington, D.C. - Representative Hunt, representing the 38th Congressional District of Texas was presented with the IADC's Distinguished Legislator Award for his work and unyielding support of drilling contractors, operators, and service companies in the oil and gas arena.
Congressman Hunt met with IADC Senior Vice President Bob Warren and over 15 IADC members and staff collectively representing both the U.S. onshore and offshore sectors to discuss various aspects of the industry.
IADC’s Legislator Award is presented to members of the United States Congress who consistently support the drilling industry through their votes, co-sponsorship of legislation, signing of relevant letters, and willingness to meet with members of the drilling community to gain a better understanding of their businesses.
“I am extremely proud of the work our team has done to fight back against Biden’s radical anti-American energy agenda. The oil and gas industry are the lifeblood of America’s economy and the heartbeat of Congressional District 38, and we must do everything we can to preserve it,” said Hunt.
Legislation that enables consistent and reliable domestic oil and gas production benefits U.S. energy security and the global economy. In just eight months, Congressman Hunt has helped greenlight over $18 billion in energy projects.
Hunt and his staff are committed to continue being a strong ally for American energy production.
