For Immediate Release: Rep. Hunt Introduces Resolution Declaring July as "American Pride Month."

Washington D.C. - Today, Congressman Wesley Hunt introduced a resolution declaring July as "American Pride Month." Congressman Hunt will launch American Pride Month tomorrow with a video starring President Trump and all the Americans who have made this country the best in the world. Congressman Hunt will post every day about a significant moment in American history to show the incredible achievements and sacrifices that this country has faced. 

It is important that we foster a sense of patriotism and preserve America for the next generation. Not only does this include teaching and celebrating the patriots who won the American War of Independence and laid the groundwork for our nation, but it also includes celebrating the future and the success that is yet to come.

“America is tired. Tired of cultural tribalism, tired of performative virtue-signaling, and tired of watching our national identity hijacked by agendas that cater to a loud but narrow minority, said Rep. Hunt.

"If corporations and left-wing activists can co-opt June to promote their ideology under the banner of 'Pride Month,' then surely July, the month of our founding, can and must be reclaimed to honor something far greater: American Pride Month.

"This initiative, which my team and I began in 2022, was born out of a desire to celebrate the extraordinary individuals and timeless values that have defined our republic, from the patriots of 1776 to the leaders of today who continue to defend freedom and preserve our way of life.

"Today, I am once again declaring the entire month of July as American Pride Month, a time to celebrate our heroes, teach our history, and rekindle the spirit of patriotism that built the greatest nation the world has ever known.

"I am also calling on President Donald J. Trump to sign a Presidential Proclamation enshrining this national celebration. No president in our history understands the value of patriotism and passing that down more than President Trump.

"From sea to shining sea, let’s make patriotism cool again. Let’s not just celebrate freedom on the 4th of July, let’s honor our founding, our flag, and our future every single day throughout this sacred month.”
