Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Wesley Hunt voted in for of  H. Res. 12 - Establishing a Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government as a select investigative subcommittee of the Committee on the Judiciary.

“The American people entrusted the Republican Party with the majority because they demand a government that is accountable to the American people, not a two-tier system of justice that weaponizes government agencies to investigate and prosecute citizens because of their political beliefs,” said Hunt. “Just this week, we’ve learned through reports that President Biden himself may have incorrectly stored classified material in a private office.  When a former Republican President is accused of such a thing, an FBI raid is initiated. When the Biden’s allegedly engage in nefarious and potentially criminal activity, there are no hearings or investigations.  That double standard ends now.”
