Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Wesley Hunt voted in favor of H.R. 23 - The Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act.  The bill rescinds tens of billions of dollars Democrats allocated through the Inflation Reduction Act to fund 87,000 new Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Agents. 

“America does not have a tax revenue problem; it has a spending problem, and that has never been clearer than under the Biden Administration.  The American people, especially the middle class and small businesses, should not be subjected to harassment by the IRS to pay for the Democrats’ catastrophic and reckless spending.  I’m proud to vote for this bill,” said Hunt.
