Washington, D.C.- This is Wesley Hunt, your Congressman for Congressional District 38 in Houston, TX.  Since my swearing-in 8 months ago, a lot has happened in Congress, but I’m extraordinarily proud of the work my office has done for our friends and neighbors in TX-38!

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Wesley Hunt (R-TX) joins U.S. Representatives Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), Burgess Owens (R-UT), Glenn Ivey (D-MD), Byron Donalds (R-FL), David Trone (D-MD), and Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) in introducing the bipartisan, bicameral Safer Supervision Act.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Wesley Hunt Votes in favor of H.R.1606 - Veteran Entrepreneurship Training Act of 2023. This bill provides statutory authority for the Boots to Business Program, which provides entrepreneurship training to individuals, including veterans and active members of the Armed Forces, to be administered by the Small Business Administration.

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Hunt voted in favor of H.R. 2494 - The Protect Our Law Enforcement with Immigration Control and Enforcement (POLICE) Act of 2023.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Wesley Hunt (R-TX) and Congressman Glenn Ivey (D-MD), both serving on the House Judiciary Committee, introduced the Recruit and Retain Act. During National Police Week, Congressman Hunt and Congressman Ivey are leading a bipartisan effort to support the efforts of law enforcement agencies that are experiencing declines in officer recruitment.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Wesley Hunt voted in favor of H.R.2 – The Secure the Border Act of 2023.  The Secure the Border Act requires 900 miles of President Trump’s border wall to be built, requires a 5-year technology investment plan for security at all U.S. Ports of Entry, requires 22,000 Custom and Border Patrol Agents to be employed at all times, authorizes a record amount of funding for Operation Stonegarden, ends catch-and-release, and allows asylum seekers to be deported until their case is decided by federal courts.

Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Hunt voted in favor of H.R.2811 - The Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023. This bill increases the federal debt limit and decreases spending. It also repeals several energy tax credits, modifies the permitting process and other requirements for energy projects, expands work requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other programs, and nullifies regulations for the cancellation of federal student loan debt.
