Washington, D.C. - Congressman Wesley Hunt & Senator Marco Rubio Introduce: The Mandatory Removal Proceedings Act.

Washington, D.C. - Yesterday, the United States House of Representatives unanimously passed the Debbie Smith Act (2023). Congressman Wesley Hunt (TX-38) was an original Co-Lead on this bill.

Washington, D.C.- Today, Congressman Wesley Hunt introduced a bipartisan bill, which passed the Judiciary Committee for markup.  The bill is the Debbie Smith Act, which provides federal grants to states to reduce the backlog of testing biological material thought to contain DNA in criminal investigations, particularly rapes and sexual assaults.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Rural Development, Energy, and Supply Chains is holding a hearing titled “Energy Independence: How Burdensome Energy Regulations are Crushing Small Offshore Energy Producers.”
