During National Police Week, Congressman Hunt and Congressman Ivey are leading a bipartisan effort to support the efforts of law enforcement agencies that are experiencing declines in officer recruitment.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Wesley Hunt voted in favor of H.R.2 – The Secure the Border Act of 2023. The Secure the Border Act requires 900 miles of President Trump’s border wall to be built, requires a 5-year technology investment plan for security at all U.S. Ports of Entry, requires 22,000 Custom and Border Patrol Agents to be employed at all times, authorizes a record amount of funding for Operation Stonegarden, ends catch-and-release, and allows asylum seekers to be deported until their case is decided by federal courts.

Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Hunt voted in favor of H.R.2811 - The Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023. This bill increases the federal debt limit and decreases spending. It also repeals several energy tax credits, modifies the permitting process and other requirements for energy projects, expands work requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other programs, and nullifies regulations for the cancellation of federal student loan debt.
